By looking at all available sources we can generally make note of where changes were made and weed out the changes.I’m curious why the LDS church uses the King James Version. Most of that translation was taken from the Geneva and Bishop’s translations and didn’t use many original texts. Why is that considered to be “the most accurate” when it is known to be less accurate, especially with the evolution of the English language since the 17th Century? Many of the words used in the KJV have completely different meanings today.Also, what evidence is there to support the Joseph Smith Translations? For the most part they same to vary widely off course of what records we have, and they seem to conveniently change bible theology to suit Mormonism.

It’s pretty damn positive on Mormonism as a cultural movement, TBH.
