I was cooking for the family at LEAST one night a week by then and making my own lunches without parents during summer vacations. Is he like typically forgetful or prone to doing stupid teen stuff?(ie playing with matches? ) I understand parentification can be a huge issue, but what exactly caused you to panic over a nearly 14yo to be watching his baby sibling for a single day? That he would… what? Not call 911 if the baby suddenly stopped breathing? Not run across the street, with the baby, to your job if he couldn’t reach his mom? When you got there, what was wrong? Was the baby laying in a overflowing diaper with a severe diaper rash screaming his head off? Placed on the counter while his big brother cooked? Playing with glass? He had a ton of friends over destroying the house? You yourself said he is a good kid. Imo, as a mom of 2, i would like to hope that my dang near 14yo could watch a baby that spends 90% of his day sleeping until another grown-up could drop by and take over. He had the baby for 4 hours and last i checked, 2mos tend to nap in bursts of 1-2 hours. So at most the baby was just sleeping For most of it, maybe pooped a bit and ate. And spent his next 1-2 hour awake allotment being entertained by baby toys, and baby youtube videos

I am going to get downvoted for this, but one aspect of Zach bryan New Classic T Shirt, (and only one aspect) applies. Culturally, enslaved Africans benefited from close contact with white slave owners, despite the many other shortcomings of this contact. Some were able to learn to read, play musical instruments, and discern many other discrete cultural markers for success. In my genealogical research, I see so very many great African American families. I contrast them with Native American families, since I have yet to discern any comparable families, with the exception of the Cadotte fur trader family of the 1800s, of which I claim some relation. I have yet to see one Native American family that compares to the numerous great African American dynasties. The reason that I deduce without any study is that the Native American contact with cultural markers was limited due to being placed on reservations. Another is that Native American cultural preservation was a concern. I would be more than happy to provide numerous examples of the great African American families.

Honestly this is disgusting but like all things it comes down to a matter of poor writing of Zach bryan New Classic T Shirt. Skilled Trades for slaves were one of the only options they had for making enough of their own money to buy their freedom. In the literal sense of the word this was a personal benefit (when compared to other slaves specifically). Enslaved people also had a very strong oral tradition so any person who became a skilled laborer was able to pass some of that knowledge down. Those skills were vital in escaping slavery. An uneducated slave had far worse odds escaping than an educated slave. Towards the end of Slavery it’s also quite possible that many slaves with trade skills were able to get better access to resources using their knowledge. I doubt there is a single person here who would honestly say being educated isn’t a personal benefit. Whether it be passing down your knowledge so your kids can escape Slavery or using it to escape yourself. These skills gave enslaved people a chance of freedom they wouldn’t have without it. With all that said. Poorly written curriculum and it’s just another example of shitty government policy writing. Slavery was terrible no educated person is arguing against that. Sadly though the world isn’t black and white so it’s factually incorrect to say slaves had no benefit from skilled labor. It’s a matter of looking at it from the perspective of the people we’re talking about. I’m quite confident that any form of education was sacred to a group of people deprived of humanity.
