I like turkey on Thanksgiving (yes, I’m American). I like ham on Vert Der Ferk The Muppet Show Ugly Christmas Sweater and prime rib on New Year’s, because that’s what I grew up with. I haven’t actually made a ham on Christmas in over a decade, nor a prime rib on New Year’s, so I have no need for either, but if I had the choice – and someone to share the meal with – those would be my go-to’s unless he/they had a different preference. To me it’s all meh. Although at least one turkey during those holidays is a must.

I believe it was HBO changed that night. One of my children was dragging his ass getting ready. My oldest daughter and I sat down and started watching. My son finally can out of his room and stood there by the tv, then my wife stopped and started watching. My youngest was 3yo she wasn’t interested. The tree didn’t get bought that day and a tradition was born.
