A personal story. My father was the only station hand on a property, the husband had no interest in the farm as he had an oyster lease on the coast. At the time Lois was 12 years old. That’s not young for a cat but it’s also not old. She was healthy other than the need to have that weird throat growth drained. If my sister had allowed me to decide I would have of course said that I would make sure she had the proper treatment to continue living for at least a couple more years. So I guess my hardest goodbye was so hard because it wasn’t really a goodbye at all. I never got to see her off, I never got to hold her one last time, I never got to sit next to her and comfort her as she drifted off to sleep forever. I lied to my family and told them I was fine, then I went home and cried. I screamed at the world, raged against the circumstances I’d found myself in. I had lost my best friend and never had a chance to say goodbye. I’m not sure whether it’s cruel or not but I have had my first dog for 10 years now. He is a chihuahua and I never used crates because I don’t feel it’s needed. What is needed is time and patience especially with puppies or any dog who doesn’t quite understand how to behave. when I got my dog I took 7 weeks off as holiday (included Xmas holidays too) I took time to train my pup and get a Venom 44th Anniversary 1978 2022 Signature Thank You For The Memories Shirt started. I was shocked when he came back the next day and brought his wife with him to look at me.
