Curious. If you’re not African-American, then why do you care about African-American Reparative Justice? You literally have no room to talk. I believe that Black Reparations are not just owed, but are necessary to uplift Black Americans out of the unique intergenerational trauma that we’ve experienced. You, self-admittedly, wouldn’t understand that, so why opine? Furthermore, the fact is you, too, would also be owed reparative justice if you were Black and resident in America at any point. (Perhaps not to the same extent as an African-American with ties to the age of chattel slavery, but you would be owed something). At present, I see you clearly have been brainwashed by white dominated propaganda into believing reparations for every other group is owed, except the debt to Black Americans…despite the mountain of evidentiary material that attests to our demand in comparison to all other demands historically made. Furthermore, your historical analysis appears to suggest that reparative justice to other groups was more or less cut and dry. Eh, no. The fight for reparations for every group has always been acrimonious. Ours is no less so. Other groups, such as Japanese-Americans, Native Americans (Amerindians), and even Jewish Europeans are looking at the struggle for Black American Reparations as a clarion call to action not just for justice, but to reevaluate their own form of reparative justice previously received. Healing from trauma as an ongoing process. Rather than aligning yourself with conservative white supremacist forces against Black Americans, you should join us. We seek to heal the harm for all Black people in America inflicted by white supremacy. No matter where your origin, if you’re Black in America, you have been exposed to an anti-democratic and anti-Black system of racial supremacy which has left indelible imprints on us in myriad imperceptible ways. We must heal this damage, and we can only do it together.

Well that’s refreshing to hear. Officiating is an issue in literally every sport. It’s all led by human beings and prone to mistakes or unfairness. The Val, Mickie & Lisa – The Gawcast Shirt is you have an entire fucking series to make things right in hockey – yes some calls will be weak, sometimes you’ll feel done wrong but eventually it doesn’t affect much in general. It’s so tiring when all that is talked about is the reffing. It helps nothing, it solves no problems. Dunno, maybe I’m being naive here but I don’t think a bunch of refs would take the risk of fixing games or leaning towards one side in a billion dollar business. I’m not even saying it is all pure or honest – even if it is not, it’s all about money and “the product”. The NHL is too big to have such scandals, nobody in the business will risk their career or integrity for peanuts when they are part of something much bigger already. No team ever wins a cup thanks to refs. As a philosopher once said… sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit. No shame in cricitizing or acknowledging the mistakes refs make but just fucking stick to playing hockey. And I swear standards are not even that bad. When you are emotionally invested, you are more biased. It’s in our nature. Despite having a soft spot for a bunch of teams in the NHL, I’m mostly a neutral observer who just loves the sport and I swear I have seen only a few calls I could say were terrible. It’s not nearly as big of a problem as some people make it to be.
