I’ll use other phrases, such as “roll for Thankful Mama Sweatshirt ”, “make an initiative roll”, or even just”everyone roll a D20, just to make them wonder. I do t think I would say “roll initiative”, because it isn’t grammatically correct. Initiative (or order of initiative) is something you have after making a roll. It’s just just a shortened version, dropping the “for”, so it’s not really annoying, just not correct. If nobody asked about it, I wouldn’t correct somebody about it. It’s kind of like if your DM say “roll save”. What does that mean? I would assume it meant a shortened version of “roll for save”, a shorter version of “roll a saving throw”. But in that case, with nice short words, it really doesn’t sound right with 2 words.

June is when the first shipment of Thankful Mama Sweatshirt and ribbon arrives. It is also warehouse clean out month. There are hundreds of warehouses for supplies and completed toys that need cleaned out and dusted. July is when the list is begun. Santa begins making the master list for that year. August is when cookie baking for the season begins. It is also when the food supplies for the coming winter are ordered. Everything from pantry items to elf beer(kinda like root beer) must be inventoried, to see what needs to be reordered and at what amount. September is the most dangerous month at the Pole. At about the 7th of Sept each year starts the reindeer RUT. Hundreds of elves get hurt each year because of overly aggressive reindeer bucks. Yeah breeding season! But it is important to keep the male FR(flying reindeer) away from the natural wild NFR (non flying reindeer) or else the new babies next spring would give away the exact location of the pole and elf village. October is when Santa and Mrs. Clause begin to decorate for the holidays. There is no time for that after the 1st of Nov. November the first letters arrive! This is also when Santa must have the 1st check of the list done by. 2D check is due before the end of the month. Reindeer test flights begin and try outs for the team. December is crunch time! Santa is required to attend as many party invites and appearances as possible, hence the need for helpers. He also must finalize navigation and weather prediction models for Christmas eve. And of coarse there is Christmas eve deliveries.

Now, not every game need be a grand epic. I have another buddy who runs “beer and pretzels” games, which are high-octane, simple but fun plot games. But we’re still in charge of the Thankful Mama Sweatshirt , we just know what we’re likely to be presented with. Listen to your players. Sure- it may not be entirely a Christmas movie, hell the movie is set at Easter time, but it sure as hell has Santa Claus in it- or North as he is known in the Thankful Mama Sweatshirt. I love this film because it not only has North, it also has Bunnymund (Easter Bunny), Tooth (Tooth Fairy), Sandy (Sandman), and a reluctant Jack Frost join forces to stop new evil threat Pitch Black, aka the Boogeyman. It is such a beautifully made peace of work- the animation is visually stunning, the story is fun, the characters have emotional plots and deep motivations. It has a fantastic voice cast to go with it and paints the Legends in a way no one ever imagined them. They aren’t only beings who bring gifts, give chocolate, collect teeth and give dreams, but they also protect us in secret. Now thats heroic.
