I became “pretty” in college, but if you do a search of me, you’ll see that I am finally beginning to process generational trauma due to gender based violence I have issues because I was abused and have low self esteem I don’t complain about being suddenly viewed as “pretty”, but for someone who has my experience of being bullied, not just by people in school, but by her own father, becoming “pretty” is complicated If you have low self esteem, it turns you into a target. And as someone with low self esteem, sometimes it’s hard for you to do what you’re supposed to do, because you want to be liked and subconsciously want attention Most of the attention we get is from predators. Curious theory- I might throw out a hypothesis that male pattern baldness may have been much more prevalent in his time and place. But it doesn’t hold up- he cites long vs short hair, and baldness is not short hair. And he does say it’s a disgrace, rather than say it’s not possible. OK, I can maybe change the premise a bit- what if this is about men with pattern baldness growing long hair in an attempt to cover it up with an TD Season Bad Weather Ahead Shirt comb-over?
