 ryukos character isnt portrayed right as her relationship with sin keps. I do find the “faker” line to be a TATIS JR shirt reference and joke, but then the fight transition to space is just so awkward, it honestly feels like there’s a missing scene The giant scissors… okay I can’t lie I thought the climax was awesome, aside from the music but I’ll get to that in a minute, they giant scissors coding in on shadow after ryuko says the cliche “sienara” and the way the music and screen cut out then to see shadow slip off his inhibitor rings, screaming “SHUT UP” breaking the scissors is awesome, I do think ryuko should’ve been concerned for her partner’s safety instead of just sam kens but whatever, however this climax is ruined by the ending, I do like that they used chaos blast, but shadow sounds so bored, I get they were trying to go for a more on the line edgy, “I’m going to win this fight with my final attack after going through a tough fight”, except shadows been bodying her this whole fight, and the tone just doesn’t get the message across to me, and that “i’M tHe CoOlEsT” line makes me want to die from cringe, the post analysis is… fine. Now let’s get to chaos unraveled, I liked the track until I realized that I only like the chorus, everything else is to death metal for me which I’m not a fan of, let’s compare this to dooms soundtrack which I do like, shadow vs ryuko just has guitar heavy metal in no catchy form, while doom has many high notes and low note with effects that make the osts so dang catchy, now to be fair, shadow vs ryuko does accomplish this with the chorus, getting effectms put in the voice makes it really catchy, but the final part is when I turn the song off, it just gets boring, it flows terribly, and it is just not catchy, also people say they’re not overly edgy characters but when there is a line that goes “I’ll fight like fucking devil wishes he could” I’m gonna need more convincing

Okay, now do you see why I don’t think this episode is too good, I don’t even think it’s bad, I just think it’s overhyped, now if you really enjoy this episode, just remember this is coming from a guy who liked sonic lost world so I probably don’t even deserve an opinion, I’m just not a fan of the characters the matchup, the analysis, the animation, or music (except the chorus). After that last segement It feels weird not having much to say about this one other that analyses are fine and animation was good I can barely think of anything to say, Stevens TATIS JR shirt  was beautifully done and stars transformation was beautifully drawn, death was alright, and setup was okay, took a while though, stars of the universe is pretty catchy but nowhere near the best of the seasonYa I like this one, obviously it’s not perfect and the matchup is trash but I know and like both characters so that’s a point against Blake vs mikasa and shadow vs ryuko, first of all the analyses, are great. They focus a lot on characters abilities and stories that if you blink you’ll miss something important, kinda wish they dabbled more on dooms magical abilities but whatever. The animation, could be better but for what it is I really enjoyed it, the backgrounds are beautiful and the voice actors do their roles greatly, the beginning fight is a little slow and janky but when lex gets his power suit and they start using their abilities it gets interesting, I really love the moment where doom uses the time huh thanks for t- I mean time shift bomb and they reverse it back a couple seconds. And of course the FOOTDIVE spam is hilarious, and the fight keeps going until lex gets a great hand drawn block and gives the “what kind of man are you”, “a Superman” before absolutely bodying doom and getting an advantage until doom uses his freaky Friday contraption and gives him self the winning advantage, and that death, mwah, it’s my favorite of the season. I know people don’t really like the NOOOOOOO lex does but I see it as lex realizing that there are people better than him and just refuses to accept it, and man the killing blow is so brutal and the destruction of lex Corp is just mesmerizing, and while apex of doom never really picks up, the song just has so many catchy tunes that I can’t resist turning it on once in a while
