To be honest, I’m no longer surprised something like this has happened in recent history. When I was younger, I thought it was just one case, one country under one mad man, but then I started reading about history, and it kept repeating, and in recent years I also read and heard about countries currently doing it. Update and maybe some clarity: I can not believe this has blown up as much as it has. I expected 20 comments, maybe. I just wanted some additional insight as my entire family felt she was overreacting. Her parents are not poor or struggling and each got her $2k worth of Tampa Bay Rays Flamingo Button Up Shirt. She has a college fund completely set up. I have spoken with her mum and we are all good; she was just upset because she wanted to be able to spend that much for her daughter and wasn’t able to. I am about to land as I was on a really long flight, which is why I’ve had the time to respond to so many comments. I don’t think I’ll be responding to many more now. Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. I’m also married and enjoy porn. That is not ok. OP’s cousin was certainly in the wrong for sending such “gifts” to her family’s partners (which should be considered family! That still irks me), but it’s also almost certain that OP’s fiancé is also not the best. I would see this as a sign to have an in-depth conversation about his intentions, and to lay out some ground rules for communication (if OP doesn’t decide to call off the marriage, that is. It is up to OP based on their judgement of the situation and the fiancé, after all). And everyone seeing this, take this as a sign for you to also have a conversation with your partner about communication and what you do/do not consider cheating or being shady. Communication goes a long way, and has contributed to an amazing relationship for me!
