I love this episode and it goes down as my favorite Christmas story because the writers did not hold back on making it bittersweet as fuck. These two poor sons of bitches have almost nothing at all – they’re sitting in a cheap motel, both their parents are dead, Dean is going to be dragged to Hell for eternity within the year, and the only reason they wake up in the morning to save other people is because they literally cannot do anything else now that they’ve been hunting for so long.

So, I’ve been working at this company for nearly a Star Wars Darth Vader Surfing Beach Hawaiian Shirt from January. I needed a job as was being made redundant and this popped up so I took it, it’s a night shift but work is work. Now, after about three months, I was asked by my colleague if I could cover his shift as he had an evening event to go to which I said that’s fine I came to find out it was a company event where everyone is invited to it but me. I shrugged it off as I thought I’m new so I guess they had it booked for a while. Kinda still sucked having to cover someone’s shift though as they were having fun and I’m stuck in the office. Anyways, fast forward to about a month ago I was doing paperwork and I came across an email stating Christmas party, I brought it up with my colleague he said is there? To which I said yeah at this place he said oh yeah I know I’m going to that. I was struck as I had not been approached or invited to it, what makes it worse is as there has been a boom in work lately they have took on about 6 new people about 3 months ago and they have all been added to the guess list and they class each other now as “family” while I’m stuck covering the guys shift and I was told I need to have the on call phone over Christmas because he has a family?! Well so do I!!!

For us it depends, if we’re hosting thanksgiving at our house then we will typically start put up the Star Wars Darth Vader Surfing Beach Hawaiian Shirt on thanksgiving weekend, sometimes even right before after thanksgiving dinner. Since we have guests over we use that as an excuse to take advantage of the additional helping hands. Instead of asking for help in the kitchen we’ll get through decorations. Plus I think it also makes for a decent pre-dinner workout activity. If we’re not hosting thanksgiving then we’ll put up the decorations little by little with the aim to finish by December 1st. I don’t know why but I like the idea of being able to enjoy the lights all throughout December. As for when we’ll take them down, there’s no set date but we definitely keep them up past New Years and at least a few weeks into January. I think the longest we had them up was until Valentine’s Day, we had spent the entire most of January in Florida that one year.
