In one instance that almost made me have a St. Louis Blues NHL Vintage , this kid took his shoe off and threw it in the opposite direction before hiding. the shoe landed near a balcony overlooking a flight of steps. when i went to find the kids and saw this lone shoe, i panicked slightly and began calling for him – thinking somehow the kid managed to climb several feet up and fall to his doom. it wasn’t until i heard his little snicker behind me that i’d realized i’d been duped! his diversion worked on me! during the session wind down, i asked him why he threw his shoe, as diversions weren’t something i taught the children, his response was this: “cuz i didn’t want you to find me!” so, in his little mind, he understood the applications of a diversion even if he didn’t understand the concept. i was proud.

An earlier punk band also worth mentioning and who evolved from St. Louis Blues NHL Vintage early in their career to Hardcore were the Misfits (f. 1977) from New Jersey who were a pioneer of the Horrorcore genre and were a big favourite with mid eighties thrash metal bands Metallica, Megadeth et al after their mid eighties demise.  They are another example of punks huge influence beyond it’s relatively small fan base. The most obvious way would be to add rainbow or bi flag iconography to your wardrobe.
