Before, armies were measured mostly in the tens of thousands of professional soldiers. A national military draft of peasant trash would never have been considered before the French Revolution paved the way, not just technologically speaking but for a nation to have such rights over the people. But hey, it worked for the French (actually it didn’t. Horribly bloody affair that revolution.) But what came out of it was the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte, a military genius who, for all his faults, knew how to use his new military capability and reform the way armies were structured. His reforms are still the backbone of how western militaries operate today, down to the medals we wear, the regimented structure, and even the vocabulary (where is the “r” in Colonel?

I would say good. But it also comes with a bit of Pre K is my jam, last day of school,back to school preschool T Shirt. I am happy, but it’s all those last minute things I know I have to accomplish. Want my list? Finish wrapping presents. I have one more cookie to make and I’ve never made it before. I’ve already baked 11 different kinds, but this a new one. Yes, I know the stress is self imposed. I can deal with it. And I have a family that always wonders what new cookies I’ll bring. The stress is worth the joy of sharing. Then there’s the chore of cleaning up the kitchen. My wife tells me I’m the messiest cook/baker in the US. I’m not…but probably in the top five. I guess it depends on which side of the coin you look at…how different is stress from excitement? Emotionally speaking? Same homones. Probably comes down to one’s attitude. I’m happy. I’m looking forward to Christmas. Just have to work a bit more today. Santa is more stressed than I am, he’s about to work all night.

I agree with the Pre K is my jam, last day of school,back to school preschool T Shirt , Damron Corner, and demand that you name who these people are that are ‘against Christmas,” since I don’t know of anyone. Never saw or heard of any protests against Christmas, nor read any articles online or off. On your profile you tout yourself as “Dropper of 100 ft. trees; not much else.” It’s not clear to me if you spend your time dropping out of hundred-foot trees or if you are a lumberjack felling tall trees. Either way, I guess you don’t make much profit on Christmas trees. Possibly that eats away at your soul? I really can’t why else you would think anyone is against Christmas these days. Some Christians claim to be against the secularism and commercialism of Christmas. Their line is: Don’t take Christ out of Christmas. The problem with that is that these self-same Christians love Nativity Scenes, Angels, Shepherds, and other fancy stuff that that requires commercialism, i.e. stores where they can buy the stuff for their scenes and celebrations. Not to mention gift-giving. And they own the stores and businesses that sell this Christmasy stuff. So who, I ask, is against Christmas if it isn’t guys like you who can’t make a profit off it?

Christmas is NOT a Christian holiday. In fact it is considered an abomination in the Bible but most will dismiss this and will not do the reading themselves. He was a fan of sacrificing children, built the tower ( or army depending on the translation) of Babel, and was known for deflowering the wife’s of the men under his reign. He eventually married Ishtar. In the Book of Jasher, Esau, son of Issac, decapitates Nimrod. After Nimrod has been killed Ishtar, becomes pregnant and claims it to be immaculate conception (you see the correlation to Jesus’s birth) The book of Gilgamesh describes her as a promiscuous woman and is actually the reason he at first rejected her advances.
