So I lit a candle, transforming the interior into a small ball of dim illumination, and making the outside world seem all the darker for it and no less foreboding. I quickly followed the first candle by a half dozen more to stave off the darkness and growing chill, moving Max into the back seat and placing them on a cookie sheet on the passenger seat, (using a bit of hot wax to stick them down) hoping they would keep us as warm on this frozen night as they had on countless ones before hand. (A single candle gives off a surprising amount of warmth, and you could buy them by the dozen for only a Newfoundland dog Sleeping Angel Ornament or two at most thrift stores, and after xmas lots of places just throw the ones they used as decorations in the trash so I was pretty loaded with candles at the time.) After I had the reassuring warmth and light of fire holding the nightmare of wind and frost that clawed at my car at bay for a time, I crawled in the back seat with Max under a few blankets and tried to get comfortable.

If you don’t already have your baby room all set up, make sure that it is. Don’t stock up on too many newborn size clothes or diapers, because, unless your baby is a preemie, they will outgrow the newborn size pretty fast. If you need to have some dental work done, or need an eye exam and new glasses, get that kind of stuff out of the way before your kid is born. Trying to juggle taking care of a baby and making appointments for yourself will be tough for awhile after your kid is born. I’d also suggest getting your hair done, a nice mani-pedi, leg waxing, or whatever kind of special salon treatments you like maybe a Newfoundland dog Sleeping Angel Ornament before your due date. It will make you feel better to know you’re looking good for awhile, because it will be some time before you’ll be able to take care of any of that after the baby comes.

I have been jealous of girls who I thought were prettier, had more money, had bigger breasts. But I got over it. Years ago. Like…who fucking cares??? I was mad and jealous that I wasn’t white when I was 15. That I had to live in a rough neighborhood with roughnecks. I got over it. They are jealous because they want what they can’t have and don’t ever realize they are enough. They project they are gods but inside they are weak, miserable people who feel worthless. And that hurts. It’s an inescapable drip of torture serum into their brains. they project their insecurity onto others. I believe they CAN choose between “good and/or bad” behavior- as we all do. I don’t think anyone’s childhood was perfect. It’s not meant to be. We, as souls, came here to learn and grow. In the dark, we dig up to the Newfoundland dog Sleeping Angel Ornament. But from observing my father, my sister, and my ex spouse they are stuck. Stuck in fear, jealousy and anger at inner demons they can’t escape from. Living in fear and insecurity everyday from some brain washing/ abuse they received as a child. I believe they are aware of it or else it wouldn’t bother them so much. Perhaps that’s when one becomes a psychopath. When you just don’t give a shit at all. Total numbness.
