For me, A Christmas Story is popular because it recalls an era that I can remember, or at least the era I can remember had not changed that much from the NASCAR Watercolor Style Sports Cars Hawaiian Shirt of the movie. The biggest Santa gift I ever received was a Lionel HO Texas Special train set about 1958 or 1959.

As glasses are raised and fireworks explode out of sight, it’s fundamental to see the exceptional symbolism that the New Year brings. Happy New Year messages should address new beginnings and new beginnings, similarly as a time of reflection.
