Now im the other side of this. I used My Friends Captain America Black Widow Thor Iron Man Hulk signature shirt terrified of scary movies. Didnt matter how dumb it was i was scared of it. Well my friends at the time wanted to see the newest one (i think it was Strangers). I refused to go, but they talked me into it by saying theyd make me laugh and it wouldnt be scary. I always find something to laugh at and it takes the edge off.

The only other time I do laugh is if the inherent jump scare was silly like a friend suddenly getting in the main characters face. I think it’s why I love the Coen brothers’ more “serious” comedies like A Serious Man and Inside Llewyn Davis.But it extends to horror and especially over-the-top gore. It’s not because I’m edgy or “too cool” to be scared or whatever, I’m just a generally easy going person and I tend to laugh, well, all the time. Most of my fights end with both of us laughing at just how silly it is for us to be so angry. I laugh when I bonk my head on a kitchen counter, I laugh when I trip, I laugh when I realize I’m about to cry in a movie.To be alive at all is absurd and I take most of it with good humor. Including when a zombie tiger eats a guy’s face all the way off.
