Lol.There seems to be A LOT of problems from a production standpoint on DRDU from a purely putting the show together standpoint. And a lot of it we can really only speculate about a lot of this season’s production. Personally, I think that if it was so much trouble to film and DU season with AUS/NZ particular COVID restrictions, I just don’t understand why it wasn’t canned completely until there weren’t so many problems. It seems to me that a reduced production team and the last minute which to film in NZ are considerable factors. I also personally think it’s a bit silly for parts of the entertainment industry to have a ‘show must go on’ mentality when they can’t come up with something decent considering their resources (say for example the really mixed bag of awards shows over the past year

I completely agree with a lot of your issues about DR more Mountain Bike MTB Retro Vintage Bicycle shirt   and how these are affecting DU specifically. Not only is there an ever-increasing difference in points of reference between Ru and Michelle, contestants and the audience, but there is clearly a massive cultural barrier for them with DU that they aren’t working through as effectively as UK (not to say there weren’t massive references missed by Ru and/Michelle throughout). And it definitely impacts their judging which is difficult to watch. I hate the critique “you need to explain it therefore it didn’t work”. This past week with Karen’s *sigh* Shapelle Corby reference, I feel it was more failing at the challenge brief more so than RuChelle not getting it, but ironically it is also a clear example for me, ugh this season is a MESS. Say DU’s ‘Bogan Prom’ for instance. Not only is ‘bogan’ specific to Australia, but the term wasn’t clearly explained – I don’t blame a lot of people in the DR subs for assuming it is a derogatory and classist word. IMO, Elektra was the person who came close to responding to that runway theme, but was criticised for looking cheap – which is both at odds with the runway theme and also exposes the increasing unfairness between queens who are lacking in financial resources to compete with people who have everything at their disposal. That part I honestly don’t have an answer for as I disagree with a suggestion of entering the competition with a budget either overall or per challenge. I think it could be solved though by the franchise acknowledging this, along with other problems. I think it would be genuinely difficult to judge participants as competitors while also acknowledging their personal drag/circumstances etc.
