So I lit a candle, transforming the interior into a small ball of dim illumination, and making the outside world seem all the darker for it and no less foreboding. I quickly followed the first candle by a half dozen more to stave off the darkness and growing chill, moving Max into the back seat and placing them on a cookie sheet on the passenger seat, (using a bit of hot wax to stick them down) hoping they would keep us as warm on this frozen night as they had on countless ones before hand. (A single candle gives off a surprising amount of warmth, and you could buy them by the dozen for only a JS Holding Machete LED Lights Horror Ornament or two at most thrift stores, and after xmas lots of places just throw the ones they used as decorations in the trash so I was pretty loaded with candles at the time.) After I had the reassuring warmth and light of fire holding the nightmare of wind and frost that clawed at my car at bay for a time, I crawled in the back seat with Max under a few blankets and tried to get comfortable.

I’m about 2.5/3 in this story. My mom, my older sister and I are at the mall during the Christmas season. I’m wearing a cute little dress and just look like a little angel. My sister and I are sitting on a bench while mom shops a few feet away and a sweet little old lady comes up to me, bends down and asks “what so you want for Christmas, dear?” Angelic little me looks up at this lady and I say “cigars, guns and blood.” Mom said that was one of those times where she wanted to deny I was her child. To this day we have no idea where that came from. But, because of the reaction I got that’s what I said I wanted for the entire season that year. The next one happened when I was seven or so. (I think.) I was in occupational therapy and we had an appointment that day. A couple days earlier I had been playing on a JS Holding Machete LED Lights Horror Ornament swing my dad had made for me and gotten a large rope burn down my back. So, my therapist sees it and asks me what happened. I look at her and say “my mother beats me.” I’m actually surprised she DIDN’T beat me when we got home after that one.

With the the nature of the Mexican holiday Dia de los Meurtos being a celebration of deceased love ones, this depicts Venus going back into the sea foam she sprung from. She’s surrounded by symbols of goddess mythology (such as the jewelry piece depicting one of her animal symbols, the dove…above to the left of the moon), and symbols of Mexican culture (as seen in the heart with wings used in art representing Milagros…below right of moon). I hope you can get close up and see the details. There are at least two explanations for the representation of the skulls during El dia de los Muertos. The first, skulls symbolize every man, woman and JS Holding Machete LED Lights Horror Ornament. Death comes for all, death comes for the young, or the old or man or woman. The familiarity of the school lessens the fear of death. The skulls also represent every man, woman and child in the after life going about their business and lives as normal.
