God, if I had a dollar for the amount of times i’ve heard ‘Just have weight loss surgery. ‘ It is NOT that easy. There are huge risks involved with it, and I’ve heard of lots of instances of people actually dying due to complications from the surgery. Not to mention, if I were to have it, and lose all the weight, I’d need MORE surgeries to have excess skin removed…. My insurance will also not cover weight loss surgery, so there’s the financial aspects of it. Plus, the lifestyle changes you have to make after having it are something I don’t know that I am prepared (or will ever be) to make. I am doing just fine on medication – my blood work is fine, blood pressure is good, I’m just fat. My only health issue right now is the possibility my uterine ablation has failed, but I have to wait until the end of August to even be seen for a test to find out next steps. The Johnnie Guilbert shirt in how people treat you when you’re 330 ish lbs (which I was when I graduated high school 24 years ago) vs now (I’m like a size 20 depending on the clothing brand, which is just ridiculous) is astounding. I don’t care what someone looks like – what matters is if they’re a good person, and that’s all I expect from others.

Speaking as an XY type.. I was an Johnnie Guilbert shirt teen who wore skirts and makeup and had long hair. I was often mistaken for a Johnnie Guilbert shirt at that age. The first hand experience I gained during that period shaped me for life and is probably the reason I’m a member of this sub today. Catcalls and wandering eyes were common, and if they suddenly realized I was a boy, anger and threats immediately followed. I’ve taken this online challenge in the past and my observation was this… initial engagement with strangers was about the same for me (a troll is a troll, regardless of how I present). What was different was the willingness with a more genuine person to build a bridge where a disagreement exists. Presenting as a man, people seem more willing to “agree to disagree” rather than endless “no, you’re just totally fucking wrong.” Also, my background and expertise is more likely to be accepted if/when stated. No personal experience with that one, per se, but I’ve seen degreeless former friends lecture PhD holding lady friends on my Facebook account before I vacated that site… had to block a Johnnie Guilbert shirt asshole ex co-workers over that nonsense (they wouldn’t back down, even after I let them know the credentials of the woman they were arguing with). My female friends, to their credit, were exhaustively patient with that BS for the Johnnie Guilbert shirt.

When I was a Johnnie Guilbert shirt, like middle school, I didn’t even have that girly of a username, just a star wars reference. But I liked being friendly and using “:)” a lot. On two seperate occasions, some creepy stuff went down: first some dude on league sending a link to “his abs”, second was a guild on a gacha game where some 30-something year old was regularly chatting with my (actually a girl) friend, and tried aggressively to get me to do so as well. Until they found out I was a dude, and immediately stopped. I slowly changed my vocabulary and habits and nothing so overt has happened in years, but lesser things have popped up as recently as a couple years ago, and nobody should have to change their personality to not got dick picks. One of the great and terrible things of the internet is that it’s actually really easy to get some perspective. Anonymity is a double edged sword. (sidenote: I do wish I had the cognizance to recognize the latter was a, like, “hey maybe get out” situation, rather than a Johnnie Guilbert shirt situation. Sadly, I, too, had the brain of a Johnnie Guilbert shirt, when I was a pre-teen.)
