Expecting and/or demanding dinner invitations is in and of itself quite rude. I doubt her children are learning much about courtesy from SIL.

Agreed! I was taught to cook for an army, which comes in handy since I married a man who is 6’6, and comes from a family with 6 siblings. My older boys are 12 and 10, my 12 year old is almost 5’8, and my 10 year old is almost 5’6 so they are BIG kids, and eaters, my husband is also a big eater….
