HS Merry Christmas Round Ornament
I stopped only after driving a mile or two up the road realizing my mistake, pulling as far to the right side as I reasonably could, and leaned my head out the window to gauge my chances of backing out, only to have the razorblades of wind and ice slap me across the face like an irate parent. That was when I decided to just pull over (slightly) towards the side of the road and park for the night. Surely after the storm was over a plow truck would be along to clear the road, right? After turning off the engine and killing the lights I discovered there’s no darkness quite as black as the darkness of a raging blizzard in the middle of the forest. Even in a HS Merry Christmas Round Ornament location on a normal night there’s moonlight, or even starlight. Heck even during rain storms there’s the light of passing cars, distant houses, even lightning to give context to ones surroundings. This was complete and total blackness, accompanied only by the howling of the wind as it rocked my car, and Max’s soft whines as he senses my growing unease. A large part of me wanted to turn on the engine, hold back the cold and the darkness for at least a few hours, but I knew there was nowhere near enough in the tank to last until dawn, and once it ran dry my car would probably be stuck there until spring came.

Without my parents’ dogs around, Lois really blossomed. I lived with a number of HS Merry Christmas Round Ornament over the years, most of them students at the local fine arts school, and they all loved her. She ended up becoming a model, my roommates would paint her, make prints of her, photograph and film her. She loved the attention. Eventually I started to notice she wasn’t eating as much as she used to. Soon it became apparent that it was also difficult for her to breathe. My sister, who was a vet tech at the time, told me she could get Lois checked out for free as long as she claimed she was her cat and I agreed to it. Lois went off to the vet one morning and returned her old self again. Apparently she had a growth in her throat and the vet had drained it. Lois’ breathing returned to normal and she was eating again. About a month later, I noticed she was declining again. I asked my sister to bring her back to the vet and she said she would. I was working overnight shifts at the time so one morning when I got off work I put Lois in her cat carrier and took her with me to my mom’s house. When my sister arrived to take Lois, I didn’t even know she had come. I was busy playing with my nieces. Eventually I turned around and Lois was gone. My mother told me my sister had come and was in a rush so she took Lois without telling me.

I flung the mouse to the ground and jumped down. I got my paw around it and shot it up the cat tree. It landed on the 4th level. I jumped up to it from the floor to the 4th level, swatted the mouse through the cubby hole leading to the 5th level and then went through the hole myself to the top level of the cat tree. I shot that mouse back and forth time and HS Merry Christmas Round Ornament again between my paws. I finally threw it back to the floor and purposefully did another gallop to try to impress them. I figured a good cat should not only be sweet and like to get picked up but should also be able to show true hunting skills through play and look cute by galloping.
