This makes me wonder about the afterlife. Does everyone become a Hocus Pocus Spider Web Snowflake Ugly Christmas Sweater when they die? It probably wouldn’t hurt to try to do a little more research to see if there’s anything related to strange lights or bears or harvests or scarecrows. The man being chased by the bear seems like someone who was an actual person at some point and he just doesn’t remember who he is. The history of the area might shed some light on who he is and maybe you can find out what he’s looking for like you did with these guys. I’ll bet if you try to appease the spirit in some way, it will be a little kinder to you. Wonderful, wonderful story. Such a good guide on how to update the look without having to completely give up skinnies. I do think the Hocus Pocus Spider Web Snowflake Ugly Christmas Sweater looks nice and paired with a more modern top and boots like you’ve suggested is a good compromise. Having said that, once I started wearing looser fits I never looked back. It’s SO much more comfortable. Bonus is feeling more like I’m dressing for myself than the male gaze. I’m not buying any wide leg jeans (I think that silhouette for trousers will probably have more longevity) but I love straight leg and generally baggy fit jeans. They’re not particularly in trend but not outdated like a skinny which is also a good compromise for folks who aren’t used to the idea of wide leg jeans.
