Four is my absolute favorite age. It’s when they turn into people and have opinions and you can have actual conversations. Three? I said I’d rather do an Happy Birthday Scooby Doo 2023 shirt of diapers before I would ever do three again. For a number of years my daughter kept begging for a little brother or sister. I was giving her every excuse in the book, and when I said we can’t afford extra daycare, she offered to drop out of kindergarten so that she could babysit while I was at work. Great kid. A lady I worked with had a 3-month-old grandbaby, that she was juggling (mom was 15), and when I asked if I could borrow the baby, she jumped at the chance. The baby had a bit of colic, which was perfect for my purposes, because my daughter had severe colic and it helped to drive the message home. Unfortunately when we went to pick her up, she couldn’t find the new soy formula and had to send us with the dairy formula. Needless to say, the baby had a blowout diaper to go with the change of formula. So when my daughter asked for help changing the baby’s diaper, I said “I can’t help, I’m at work, you’re babysitting’. {Note, I didn’t leave, we were role playing}. It took her 15 baby wipes, but she got it done like a trooper. Just when she thought she was on top of all this, the had a colic fit because of the dairy formula. And I reminded her that this is exactly what she did at that age. I stepped in on behalf of the baby of course, since I knew what to do and good luck in her pain. But that was when she finally threw up her hands and said she couldn’t do it. She said she was going to stick to babysitting and that’s exactly what she did. ETA – She did not swear off having children because I traumatized her. She never wanted children, she likes taking care of other people’s children. She is autistic and knows her boundaries and her triggers, as do I.

Honestly this is disgusting but like all things it comes down to a matter of poor writing of Happy Birthday Scooby Doo 2023 shirt. Skilled Trades for slaves were one of the only options they had for making enough of their own money to buy their freedom. In the literal sense of the word this was a personal benefit (when compared to other slaves specifically). Enslaved people also had a very strong oral tradition so any person who became a skilled laborer was able to pass some of that knowledge down. Those skills were vital in escaping slavery. An uneducated slave had far worse odds escaping than an educated slave. Towards the end of Slavery it’s also quite possible that many slaves with trade skills were able to get better access to resources using their knowledge. I doubt there is a single person here who would honestly say being educated isn’t a personal benefit. Whether it be passing down your knowledge so your kids can escape Slavery or using it to escape yourself. These skills gave enslaved people a chance of freedom they wouldn’t have without it. With all that said. Poorly written curriculum and it’s just another example of shitty government policy writing. Slavery was terrible no educated person is arguing against that. Sadly though the world isn’t black and white so it’s factually incorrect to say slaves had no benefit from skilled labor. It’s a matter of looking at it from the perspective of the people we’re talking about. I’m quite confident that any form of education was sacred to a group of people deprived of humanity.
