A few years ago, when our oldest reached age 5, we realized that we were accumulating way too much “stuff”. We started the “Giannis Antetokounmpo NBA Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Unisex T Shirt ” request at birthdays starting at age 6 because we thought they really had plenty of “gifts” in life. [We aren’t heartless: We generally knew what each child “really” wanted for his/her birthday, so we would make that purchase. Grandparents were allowed to do whatever they wanted.] For those who wanted to gift “something”, we picked charities for a while, where in lieu of a gift, the families could put money intended for a gift to a charitable contribution.

If we are to have a world that is safe and Giannis Antetokounmpo NBA Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Unisex T Shirt for all, we will need to recognize and respect the way that others experience life and not just the way we do. Despite popular objections to caring policies and practices that emerge from progressive public policies, educational policies, and modern culture, I see a great deal of narcissism in our consumer culture and the nearly anonymous way that many people glide through life, adopting and rejecting fashion trends on cue, following college prep plans modeled after what everyone is doing rather than being based on the goals and needs of individual students, and following the same television shows, social media influence campaigns, and tweeted slogans supported by little or no fact.

In January last year I suffered chest pains. I rang my GP, who said “I’ll send an ambulance.” The ambulance arrived in less than 10 minutes. The Giannis Antetokounmpo NBA Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Unisex T Shirt brought the apparatus into my house from the ambulance, and gave me an electrocardiogram as I sat in our hall. They carried me to the ambulance, and we had a fast ride to the local hospital, where I was admitted at once. I was given numerous tests, and put in a bed for the night. In the morning I was told that my chest pains were not due to my heart, but to pleurisy (inflamed lining of the lung). However the electrocardiogram had revealed atrial fibrillation (irregular heart beat). I was given two sets of antibiotic pills, and beta-blockers to steady my heart, and sent home. Total cost of paramedics, ambulance, hospital night, and medication.I now have four sets of pills to take: a beta-blocker, a statin, and pills for Giannis Antetokounmpo NBA Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Unisex T Shirt reflux and high blood pressure.

Once a month I walk round the corner to my local pharmacy. I tell the assistant my name and address, and she gives me a Giannis Antetokounmpo NBA Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Unisex T Shirt bag with a month’s supply of my four pills. I pick up the bag and walk out. Nothing to pay, nothing to sign. I don’t even have to show ID. Who would want to steal my pills? Last summer I had a persistent cough. I visited my GP, who diagnosed pneumonia. She arranged a hospital bed for me, and asked if I needed an ambulance. She said that it would be nice if I could afford a taxi, to free the ambulance for someone who needed it more. I agreed, and the taxi picked me up from the doctor’s surgery and took me directly to the hospital. I was put into a pleasant single room with an en suite bathroom and a large window with a nice view. I was there for nine days, on a continuous antibiotic drip renewed night and day. After nine days, the consultant said I was cured, and could go home. I got up, got dressed and went home. I just walked out of the hospital.

Even when I know it’s a commercialized holiday, even when I know most people are just Valentines Day dates and Giannis Antetokounmpo NBA Milwaukee Bucks Graphic Unisex T Shirt not much more, the feeling of being unwanted, unloved, and alone creeps in and takes over. And it sucks. For an entire week. And that’s why I hate Valentines Day. On a side note I’m going on a “Soul Mate Ski Trip” where supposedly everyone going is looking to date, so we’ll see what happens there. It was also a steal of a lift ticket, so I’m just psyched to ski. This is a terrible thing to say, but I do not give, or recommend giving flowers for Valentine’s Day. The flowers are very likely to be old because so many arrangements have to be made that florists start making them as much as two-three weeks ahead of time. They are thrown together as quickly as possible, and will most likely not be as nice as one you would get at another time (except Mother’s Day which is just as bad.)
