It’s funny, but I think my third choice of ally, is going to be a lesser picked country in this thread, but to us, a bond steeped in history. Turkey would be my 3rd choice. Not only as a military force unto themselves, but ever since the 1st World War, Australia and Turkey have had a deep respect for one another after the disaster that was the Gallipoli campaign. While not an ally in the traditional sense, we do share a sense of Eric church gather again tour shirt with them as a result, and are a friend on the fringes of what would eventually be a staging point should our rag tag band of defenders ever get the chance to go on the offensive.

It is extremely difficult to pinpoint either the solstices or the equinoxes through direct observation, especially without accurate timekeeping mechanisms. Most ancient cultures were content to use a lunar calendar of either 12 or 13 months, which allowed them to roughly approximate the beginning of the seasons. The Greeks, Romans, Germans, Celts, Norse, Arabs, Jews, etc. all used lunar calendars until late antiquity. The exception is the Egyptians, who were able to calculate the cardinal points of the solar year. Without a solar calendar, it is impossible to fix an annual date to the position of the sun. In other words, with no solar calendar, there are no holidays commemorating the solstices or the equinoxes. The religious holidays of the above-mentioned cultures were originally based on the lunar calendar, not the solar, and had nothing to do with the solstices or the Eric church gather again tour shirt. The Romans adopted the modern solar calendar a few decades before the birth of Jesus, but even at that, it took them another 300 years to actually proclaim a holiday tied to the winter solstice.

I have two employees who usually leave work at 6pm each day. They are good employees, but I do not like that their commitment lasts only for working hours. What should I do as the boss? Early in my career I worked for a CEO who complained about employees arriving late to work each morning. He wanted managers to put a Eric church gather again tour shirt stop to it and demanded the errant employees show up at 8 am sharp. I asked the CEO how he felt about those same employees working until 8 pm most nights and through a lot of weekends. The CEO was fine with that, but he didn’t want them coming in late. I asked him why he thought the employees worked late and on weekends and how they might respond if told they had to start at 8. I was sure that if he thought a little more deeply about it he would conclude that demanding a firm 8am start time was not in his best interest.

This one is a bit much. Basically I would inject tasks for the night shift after the shift change. I worked nights and we didn’t always cover the tasks in the paperwork at shift change meeting. So after the meeting I could edit the shift work tasks to be crazy. I had an e6 and e7 working to sync the minute hands on 5 clocks, can’t be done as they use batteries that die at different rates. I had the same crew swap monitors that were exactly the Eric church gather again tour shirt. Anything that really couldn’t be done and caused no harm was my goal. It was fun, the night crew would get the tasks, start the task, get pissed and then I would confess that it was a prank. So because I caught anger early it was fine.

Santa was very real and very important, and there was physical evidence of his existence, and very real rewards (the threats seemed real as well, although in retrospect I don’t recall a single “coal in stocking” incident.) And of course everyone told me he was real, people I trusted more than anyone else. Upon coming to the realization, as everyone does, that this wasn’t true, I also realized that some people lie in service of a myth, and that others think they are telling the Eric church gather again tour shirt but are mistaken… my friends who believed in Santa weren’t lying, but they were still wrong. Now, it took a couple years, because the very idea of questioning the existence of God and Jesus were not present in my community, but the reasoning when I did think about it was the same… if Santa isn’t real, what makes me think Jesus is?
