Yeah, the Disney Mickey Dabbing Ugly Sweater Party got so fucked over by the Twilight series, it’s unreal. It was really clear Meyers basically repeated the deeply racist Mormon myths of history and didn’t do any research outside of “what’s the local tribe”. To go into a bit more depth, the werewolves are meant to be the Quileute tribe, which is an IRL Native American tribe. They haven’t seen any profits from Twilight or the films, despite playing a major role in it. The tribe is also forced to live in a tsunami zone (and that money from the series could’ve been really helpful!), though they have managed to move their school out of the danger zone. Add in the whole werewolf soulbond can happen when the werewolf is an adult and their soulmate is a kid (Jacob and Renesmee, and another couple), which is outright paedophilic at worst and grooming at best, and uh, yeah. It’s pretty awful. She also adds in a last minute thing about how they’re not even real werewolves, they’re just phony shapeshifters. I guess I don’t see “gross injustices” we saw in the Disney Mickey Dabbing Ugly Sweater Party. POC not only achieved equality in the 60’s, but have also earned advantages in the form of Aff. Action to help level the playing field. My son will have to work extra hard and get even better grades than a poor person, or a minority. How is that fair? How is that not gross injustice? Colleges will lower the bar for them, but not for my kids because he’ll have had “advantages”. In my city now, POC and poor people receive handouts and advantages that my family does not get. We work and pay for their WIC, welfare, free school food, free after-school, free day care assistance, free phones…these are all things which I then also pay for my family. That’s double-dipping and it makes it harder for me to provide. At some point, personal responsibility comes into play and if you want to be successful, you have to pull your pants up, take school seriously, and your life seriously, and not blame other people for your lot in life. Or you can blame Trump. Or the “white man”?

Given she was a Disney Mickey Dabbing Ugly Sweater Party her adolescence studying (seeing how she got her MBA so early in life), I think it’s likely that her social skills may have suffered because she would have been younger than all of her “peers” throughout school and uni, being on such an academic fast track. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if, despite her clear academic intelligence, she might be a bit naive when it comes to social intelligence. I think it’s highly likely that OOP’s husband manipulated the fuck out of her. She’s in for a horrifying realisation at some point, and I feel sorry for her and the child for being tied to this asshole forever.
