Apparently, Spinel reminded her of Diana Ross T Shirt when she was alive, and it played on emotions she hadn’t considered for decades, if not a couple of centuries. Later, when Spinel and Fahren sailed off from Alaghôn, DM had me roll a perception check: Spinny then saw a stunning Elven woman standing on the docks, waving at The Saint Marie… Who had a blanket tied around her shoulders. The two of them have been friends and pen pals since then—Spinny even got Unthir to attend one of Tarael’s parties! She doesn’t realize that Unthir only went to the party to see Spinel, but the two of them got to dance, so that’s all Spinny cares about. DM has gotten pretty wise to Spinny’s antics by now, but every now and then I’ll still surprise him!

The heavy-hitting tiering feels good in some situations. Beating up a low-level mob feels great with the Diana Ross T Shirt hit system, and it’s easy to judge exactly how much harder or easier an enemy is based on its level. However, it also renders a lot of monsters as-written rigidly impractical at a lot of different levels of play, such that an impetus exists for creating multiple variations of nearly every basic monster for every level. Maybe the most problematic thing, though, is Skill DCs, as the spread of Easy/Medium/Hard DCs each level also keeps changing and necessitates a reference table. It really sucks to deal with.

Finally they confronted the gang’s boss, the very last person alive in this club, and they coerced the information they needed out of her. Once upon a Diana Ross T Shirt , there was a mom who’d never heard of this elf business, but had moved to CA from ND and had two, nearly three, kids, one of whom was a very precocious three year old. This mom had a mom, we’ll call her grandma, who had an Elf. Grandma gave the mom a rudimentary breakdown of the “Elf” game, and then gave a much more elaborate breakdown of it to the precocious three year old and his one year old brother. And so, the Elf game was begun. The rules in this household (as understood by the mom) were basically that the Elf would arrive on December 1. He’d hide somewhere in the house, watch the children all day, and report back to Santa each night, arriving again before the children awoke, hiding in a new spot, and waiting another day. On December 24, the elf would go home with Santa in his sleigh, his duty done til next year. The Elf wouldn’t be touched, or he’d turn into a doll again and no “extra special Elf gift” would be waiting with Santa’s gift that year. The children (the three year old) named their elf “Holly Jolly.” The game began and was easy, as the family lived with Grandma and Grandpa, who had a very large, very nice house with *very* high ceilings (and therefore lots of high hiding places for the elf, far from reach).
