Hey OP, whatever brand you decide on, just order a small and a medium and return whichever one doesn’t fit. I do this when gift shopping for my dad who is also between sizes. Normally I would recommend Tori or Design lahaina Maui Strong Shirt for a wedding, especially for a couple who I presume is age 20-40. Reyn comes across a little more old school in both fit and color. However since you said you want a “conservative” shirt, Reyn might actually fit the bill with its more faded colors. Also note that not a single comment is recommending Tommy 🙂 Extra credit if you try to coordinate it to the wedding colors – ask your son (or the bride, I couldn’t tell you what the colors were at my own wedding)!

Honestly, I’m actually (mildly optimistically) happy to hear that you were able to find decent merchandise last year. It gives hope that things are trending upward.
