I number of stories come to mind. We had a reserve Drill Sergeant with us for a few days. For the most part, he didn’t get in the way of our platoon’s Drill Sergeant but these guys certainly played off each other. One day, our Drill Sergeant was making some fairly hilarious comments, clearly testing our ability to maintain military bearing in formation (eyes straight ahead, no facial expressions). Unfortunately, that was my week to be a squad leader and it’s a terrible experience because all it gets you is increased visibility which all but guarantees you’re going to be called out and punished for making a Bison King XIII Edmonton Oilers shirt. Anyway, Drill Sergeant is cracking his jokes and I’m hearing people behind me chuckle.

Jammu: The citizens of Jammu have created an entirely underground nation, for reasons that will become clear soon. Having burrowed through the crust of green floral styrofoam that covers the land until they struck underground aquifers, they have made their home in the fertile soil found there. Jamminians export their native attire in massive quantities to (you guessed it) the US of A, where the comfortable attire is highly prized. So sought after is this clothing that it is only worn to comfortably drift off to sleep after watching entirely too much Netflix. The perpetually dim witted Americans insist on referring to this clothing as jammies. There was a prolonged period throughout the 1950s where fathers would insist that (being the primary breadwinner who needed as much uninterrupted sleep as possible in order to return with pick and Bison King XIII Edmonton Oilers shirt shovel to the Uranium mines) would claim rights to this clothing over anyone else in the family, leading to the term Pa-jammies.

From the Vietnamese side, I think it is safe to say that the Vietnam War was more about nationalism than communism. Ho Chi Minh saw the Vietnam War with the US as a continuation of Vietnam’s struggle for independence from foreign powers. The NVA and VC cooperated to liberate Vietnam from French rule a decade before the Americans showed up. Those leaders viewed the Vietnam War against the Americans as another step in the total liberation of Vietnam from the European powers. When Ho Chi Mihn first developed an interest in politics as a young student in France, he was hardly a lover of Communism. However, he grew disenchanted with the West over its refusal to consider Vietnamese independence. Like many others in the North Vietnamese leadership, he adopted the cause of Bison King XIII Edmonton Oilers shirt Communism more than anything else due to its opposition to colonialism.

An intertesting (funny?) side note on the early Christmas tree light’s single point of failure issue… To counteract this problem, a “feature” was invented whereby when a bulb failed, it would “short” internally, which meant the entire string would stay lit, even with a single point of Bison King XIII Edmonton Oilers shirt. This was a neat idea, but if you were lazy and allowed another, then another bulb to fail without replacement, each bulb in the string would begin to “see” a higher voltage (and burn brighter!). This would, in turn, directly cause more failures until a point was reached where all the bulbs would fail in a rapidly cascading fashion! Little would you know, that all the bulbs were broken as you fruitlessly replaced bulb after bulb.

I have been jealous of girls who I thought were prettier, had more money, had bigger breasts. But I got over it. Years ago. Like…who fucking cares??? I was mad and jealous that I wasn’t white when I was 15. That I had to live in a rough neighborhood with roughnecks. I got over it. They are jealous because they want what they can’t have and don’t ever realize they are enough. They project they are gods but inside they are weak, miserable people who feel worthless. And that hurts. It’s an inescapable drip of torture serum into their brains. they project their insecurity onto others. I believe they CAN choose between “good and/or bad” behavior- as we all do. I don’t think anyone’s childhood was perfect. It’s not meant to be. We, as souls, came here to learn and grow. In the dark, we dig up to the Bison King XIII Edmonton Oilers shirt. But from observing my father, my sister, and my ex spouse they are stuck. Stuck in fear, jealousy and anger at inner demons they can’t escape from. Living in fear and insecurity everyday from some brain washing/ abuse they received as a child. I believe they are aware of it or else it wouldn’t bother them so much. Perhaps that’s when one becomes a psychopath. When you just don’t give a shit at all. Total numbness.
