The issue was the two inexplicable turnovers on the first two possessions. And then Lewerke missed the wide open TD on the crossing route that would’ve made it 17-14. Instead, 17-10 with a dammit we just blew that feeling, and then Ohio State smelled blood in the water and countered with a Dobbins backbreaker. I understand the Chase Young fandom and I’m a fan of him as well, but the most important player on that defense is Shaun Wade. He’s responsible for literally everything in that Cover 3 scheme and he does a great job!
