The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah is celebrated with much fanfare across the United States with one of the most elaborate events taking place on a national stage. Since 1979, a giant nine-metre Menorah has been raised on the White House grounds for the eight days and nights of Hanukkah. A 5th grade student was the most excited one in his class to go Christmas caroling in the school gym. I noticed a good many of the 5th and 6th graders showed signs of boredom, but not him. Instead of keeping a low profile, he stood up and danced. One of the teachers was stepping to the music, too, and danced with him to the song “Here Comes Santa Claus”. He was on top of the world! For just a few minutes, he was at the “head of the class” for a American Patriot T shirt . Teachers and his fellow students were watching him step to the music which he could step to better than most.
