I was thinking about this yesterday about people who criticize characters in horror movies. The idea behind this is simple: there is no reason why a student who wants to become a mechanic or other practical jobs would need to stay in school as long as a student who wants to go to a university. However, these branches are performance based, so under performing students are unlikely to be able to get into the highest education.
