Do whats best for the patient and go home. I see horrible things happen to nurses everyday, and usually it is a result of other nurses sabotage, or ill intent. Keep to yourself and don’t think you are at work to make friends. I have been a nurse for 23 years (RN for many years, FNP now), being a nurse is fantastic, working with other nurses is like running through a field of land mines; learn where to step early on.

As a nursing student, this makes me so happy to see. During our clinicals most of our mentors treat us as a nuiscance and All I want for Christmas is a Snoopy shirt their roots. One day we could be their coworker and I often questions whether or not they would be happy with that based on their teachings. But it just motivates us to become more compassionate nurses.
