I actually miss downtube shifters. I need to do something. I can’t currently shift into bigger rings consistently on my “new” shifters. My hands are small and getting leverage to push the Vintage Bicycle Retro Cool Bike Shirt while underway has been a problem. I will be scoping out a new bike and that will be an issue I solve.

I love the old team kits, the Vintage Bicycle Retro Cool Bike Shirt of my steel frame and the beautiful leather saddles and bar tapes. I agree with the down tube shifters, I could never go back to that but I’d still wear those Belgian sausage helmets when I’m on my steel bike. I had this exact bike and so wish I hadn’t sold it. Disagree with Vintage Bicycle Retro Cool Bike Shirt. I can’t afford the latest and greatest to conquer hill-country on a double or single. I’ll take the extra weight and complication for making standing an option on most climbs. I don’t see the big deal about quill stems? One big advantage is not having to faff about re-adjusting your headset if you want to change the position/swap out stems.
