I think it’s a decent idea to keep the mainstream characters separate from vertigo. Especially since vertigo is See The Able Not The Label Shirt getting rebooted in august with sandman universe and a bunch of new series. To have a separate offshoot for more mature stories utilizing the classic characters is a good idea honestly.
