Certainly will wear my poppy with pride. I’ve got a badge this year because I always manage to lose a poppy that’s pinned on my coat. I don’t remember WW1 obviously but I do know I had 4 uncles on the Poppy The Man The Myth The Legend Father Day shirt. One of which was very badly wounded. And in WW2 my only brother served for 6years in North Africa and Italy campaign. That’s as well as several cousins. Thank god they all came back safely. So yes ! I am proud to wear my poppy.

I have worn a poppy since being a young child, my Father, Grandfather and Poppy The Man The Myth The Legend Father Day shirt. This year I bought my poppy in Ypres and wore it to the Menin Gate last post ceremony which was spine tingling and then to visit my Great Uncles grave 100 years to the day of his death. This year I have been awarded a ticket in the ballot to take part in the People’s March Past at the cenotaph in London.
