Pitt Stronger Than Hate Shirt

Rabbi Daniel Schiff spoke about the Magen David seen on our shirts. He said that many people refer to it as the Star of David, but that it is much more like Pitt Stronger Than Hate Shirt. After that, he asked us what we will do with our shirts after the day is done. Will we take them off, shove them back into our drawers and forget about it all?

That is how this last week has been. Waves of relief, panic, grief, and love. These waves have hit at different times since the shooting. The worst was the Saturday itself, knowing how many friends and loved Pitt Stronger Than Hate Shirt. Thinking about our Jewish family members outside of Pittsburgh who might have friends or family at the Tree of Life, and reaching out to them.

Today at the University of Pittsburgh, we held an event called ‘Pitt together: Stronger than hate. Thousands of members of Pitt Stronger Than Hate Shirt show support for our Jewish community in the wake of last weekend’s horrific event in Pittsburgh, but to take a stand against all hatred. Very proud to be a member of this community today, and I am certain that better days lie ahead.
