I feel very fortunate to teach in a district that recognizes the need for counseling services for students and for teachers. When we have a traumatic event (student or teacher loss), there are counselors on campus very quickly and the support is there if teachers need to take advantage of it. We cover each other’s classes during our prep so the other teacher can go talk to someone. We also are able to have a professional councilor on campus two days a week to work with kids and help them through some extremely difficult things. I’m always amazed and saddened by Oh Sushi tree oh Sushi tree Christmas shirt our kids are going through at such a young age.

I went to middle and highschool with Ellen. She was kind, loving and caring.
