I’m a good person but don’t give me a reason to show my evil side shirt

I know you want to be a good person and be helpful to people in need, but it’s impossible to give to others if your energy has already been used-up. Being a good person has nothing to do with I’m a good person but don’t give me a reason to show my evil side shirt. There are limits. You can best help others from a position of strength, not weakness. So, don’t forget to be good to yourself first.

When we continue to rescue others as a way of life, they become dependent upon being helped and thus are crippled in ever being independent, successful and able to take care of themselves. In educational terms it’s called learned helplessness. Just like I’m a good person but don’t give me a reason to show my evil side shirt, so we must keep ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually healthy before being helpful.

Thank you for this post because I am this person I help others so much that even if someone is walking over me I let them I have been hurt, disrespected, hated, dissed and even treated like I’m a good person but don’t give me a reason to show my evil side shirt. But now I have a great church family who showed me my real worth and I am never going to forget that.
