I would like to share a story with you about this tree and more importantly about a lifelong friendship. This story is about my mom. Folks let me introduce you to my Friendship Tree.Yesterday I attended an auction from the estate of I Dont Play Basketball You Play Miniature Golf Funny Tshirt which passed away this year. I went to the auction yesterday with two things in mind. I wanted to buy every cross stitch picture my mother ever gave to her friend as gifts over the years. I wanted to purchase, at any cost, my mother’s friend’s collection.

I was determined to not let these items fall into the hands of strangers. I wanted to create this tree for my mother’s dear friend. I wanted to create this tree for my mother. You see a good majority of those ornaments that I placed on that tree last night and this morning were bought from a yearly girls’ trip to Oxford which always included purchasing the year’s handmade wooden ornaments and lunch.

I can only imagine the great times, laughter and discussions they must have shared along the way. I accomplished both. Matter fact I was able to do even more.My mother’s friend had cross stitched well over cross stitch pictures  of those were Christmas pictures. Me being the sucker I am for Christmas, loving I Dont Play Basketball You Play Miniature Golf Funny Tshirt and respecting my mother’s friendship and amazed with the amount of hours she sat and cross stitched these pictures– I had to bring several of these vintage pictures to the farm.
