I am a May girl I was born with my heart shirt. I didn’t wear shoes for seven years and grew up having no clue what the heck America was. I am blind in one eye due to past experiences I had facing a member of the Taliban who was trying to take my grandpa’s astronomical compass. My grandpa had given it to me, and ever since then, I‘ve wanted to pursue my dreams in astronomy and understand the universe better. I refused to give up the compass and because of that, I can’t see well in my right eye.
