In my younger days, I was, as my mom said, a Earth Day 2022 Go planet It’s your Earth Day Shirts, sweater , and enjoyed staying up late. I always said that dawn looked much better at the end of the night than at the beginning of the day. There will always be people who like the overnight shift as well as people like me who hate day shift. But, preferences aside, once you have a family, shift work is inconvenient as hell. I’m off that day.” “I’ll try to sneak home for a few minutes Christmas morning while the kids open presents, but, no promises.” School plays, PTA (ugh) meetings, sports events? You probably won’t be there. Once I became a supervisor and my kids had grown, I’d make sure to cover whatever days the office was open around holidays (Black Friday, the day before or after Christmas or Independence Day when they fell on a Tuesday or Thursday) so my people, who were mostly younger than me, could be home with their families.
