I had to get a second job to get my son what he wanted for Christmas. I labeled some from myself and Baby Grinch and Unicorn shirt brought the others. I told my son that MY hard work is why I was able to get him the gift he wanted, but still allowed Santa to bring in nice gifts also. I shared that with him so he would know the importance that hard, honest work pays off. But that’s just me. To each their own.

My kids are 40 and Baby Grinch and Unicorn shirt  , grandchildren 14, 12, 4, and 2. Santa still comes to them from my house. When the two older grands told me they “knew” and it was okay to talk about it, I said “what?!! Then where do the gifts come from?? I certainly couldn’t do all this.” They laughed a little bit, but I didn’t give. That has been my answer for over a year, and it will remain my answer. I don’t want the “credit.” I want them to believe as I do in the magic of Christmas.
